Past workshops
February 4th – Wrapping up repairs in preparation for new collections
UpCycle leaders decided to make final repairs on the bikes still in storage to be distributed before a new round of collections organised by schools comes in. It was also the perfect opportunity to plan the next few months. Great things are to come!November 12th – Bike workshop at La Seymaz
Students, volunteers and refugees came together to fix up around 30 bikes donated by a UN organisation in Geneva. More than 20 of those were repaired in the same day and consecutively given out to those in need.
November 9th – Fablab bike atelier
Students from Institut Florimont were able to get hands-on and learn how to check for tire punctures, inflate tires to the right pressure, and change an inner tube. Their more experienced peers and bike enthusiast taught and checked these skills, and thanks to their amazing group effort, two of the three bikes were actually given back to their respective owners at the Presinge refugee centre.
